Kosher Basics
- The meat, milk and eggs of certain species of animal are permitted for consumption, while others are forbidden. In addition, a series of laws govern how the animal should be killed and which parts of the animal can be eaten.
- Meat and milk are never combined. Separate utensils are used for each, and a waiting period is observed between eating them.
- Fruits, vegetables and grains (from the diaspora) are basically always kosher, but must be insect free. Wine or grape juice, however, must be certified kosher.
- Since even a small trace of a non-kosher substance can render a food not kosher, all processed foods and eating establishments require certification by a reliable rabbi or kashrut supervision agency.

How would you handle this situation - we want to have people over, but they keep kashrut at a higher level than we do. Think Chalav Yisrael versus regular dairy, etc.
How would we accommodate them? We are in an area with only 1-2 kosher restaurants.
If we wanted to have them for meals, what could we do? Use plasticwear? Have foods that are not cooked (salads, desserts, etc)?
I would suggest direct conversation with them about your desire to host them and the willingness to make accommodations that could work for them, keeping in mind that some people simply don't accept such invitations.
Eating kosher has helped with my stomach that have been giving pain for years turns out Iām lactose intolerant and have issues with digesting meat
Eating kosher has been helping with my kidney issues!
Having kosher foods might be hard but in the end it is healthy and good for your religion.
having kosher foods is actually healthy because they do not deal with preservatives. Sometimes I think we should go to kosher food.

Does this mean that a vegan diet is always kosher if it's cooked from scratch without processed foods involved?
Not completely, there is still the issue of insects in or on fruits and vegetables that can be hard to notice, if one does not know what to look for. Please see Kosher Fruits and Vegetables
