EMOTION 1 Achieving Authenticity When praised for a good deed, 70% of people admit to squirming because they feel their act lacked authenticity. In this opening session, discover a place of objective authenticity within yourself that can weather any self-doubt and help you build confidence in your genuine goodness.
EMOTION 2 Embracing Flaws Wrestling with feelings of overwhelm, procrastination, or general not-enough-ness? This session explores the seemingly senseless feelings of inadequacy and charts a course to transform them from adversary to ally.
EMOTION 3 Rethinking Regret We all slip, and it’s natural to feel some regret or guilt when we do. But can we focus on past actions without becoming paralyzed by bad feelings? In Lesson 3, we’ll challenge the negativity associated with regret, finding a catalyst for remarkable growth where it’s least expected.
EMOTION 4 Peering through Pain An optimistic attitude is a noble goal, but the sincere, burning flames of sadness, suffering, or loss can be incredibly difficult to douse. This session embraces the validity of pain while sensitively enhancing our internal perspectives to let the sun peek through despite the reality of our suffering.
EMOTION 5 Living Joyfully Things are fine—you've got what you need in health, finances, and relationships. But is “feeling fine” the same as feeling truly, energetically happy? By looking at common patterns in chasing inner contentment, Lesson 5 helps us pave a new path to more dependably enthusiastic living.
EMOTION 6 Refreshing Relationships Without a doubt, healthy relationships are key to positive emotions, but they are so much easier said than done. This session explores the triumphs and dysfunctions of human relationships, formulating a steady approach to allowing yours to flourish despite inherent strains. |

We are in the Hakhel year. Today, you are the king. We each need to play the leadership roles! You have the power to unite Jews. Let's unite with the Hakhel Torah on Saturday, Feb 27.

What is a soul? Where does it go after it departs this world? Do Jews believe in heaven and hell? Can souls communicate with us from the afterlife? How does reincarnation work?
Journey of the Soul explores the mysteries surrounding the spiritual dimension of our existence—our destiny that continues even after we've shed our earth-bound body suit. We examine the transition of the soul into the hereafter, the kinds of legacies that are valued even after we've forsaken this earthly existence, and the accompanying emotional journey and rituals that help the soul and those closest to it prepare for its new reality.
Here's some feedback about this class...
"Like many people I had a preconceived notion of the soul. My concept was based more on popular culture rather than on Jewish learning. This class has provided an incredible spiritual depth that can’t be described in a few short sentences. Thank you for providing this wonderful experience." - Don D.

PARADIGM SHIFT
Transformational Life Teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe
Known to many simply as “the Rebbe,” Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson assumed leadership of the Chabad Lubavitch movement in 1950, when it consisted of a small group of European refugees struggling to rebuild their lives after the war. Over the next four decades, the Rebbe established a worldwide network of educational, social, and religious institutions.
Under his leadership, from a band of survivors, Chabad grew into a global movement that moved out of the shadow of the Holocaust and embraced a new future and a new world. One of the foremost Jewish leaders of our time, the Rebbe embraced all Jews, regardless of their beliefs or affiliation, and touched the lives of countless individuals across the social spectrum. Despite his passing in 1994, his legacy continues to live on through his teachings and through the work of his emissaries whom he charged with bringing the light of Judaism to every corner of the globe.
The Rohr JLI has undertaken the important task of bringing the Rebbe’s intellectual and spiritual legacy to the thousands of students who attend its courses worldwide. The release of the course, Paradigm Shift: Transformational Life Teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Rebbe’s passing.
In a series of 2 carefully crafted and tactfully presented lessons, the Rebbe’s philosophy is deconstructed and explored from a sweeping range of views, and is then skillfully rebuilt to showcase the Rebbe’s insights into life and his profound messages that so resonate with mankind. The course addresses the following questions: What are the Rebbe’s central teachings and contributions to Judaism and society? What was his understanding of the human being and what were his aspirations for humanity? What accounts for the continued success of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement? And most importantly—how can we apply these insights toward living a more purposeful life?
Class 1: Tuesday June 17 @ 7:30 PM
SEEING A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN
Parts of life you enjoy. Others, you just can’t stand. Without being naive, is it possible to see only the good in everything? How can we find the positive spark in old age, work, struggle—even arrogance, evil, and death? A sophisticated understanding of reality uncovers a world in which there is only opportunity, positivity, and goodness.
Class 2: Tuesday June 24 @ 7:30 PM
REALIZING YOUR POTENTIAL
The soul is not a recessive gene. With every movement of the body, its innate perfection finds expression. Discovering this for yourself will not only boost your self-esteem and improve your relationships, but will also lead you to demand more of yourself and push your limits to redefine what is possible.
