Mi Sheberach

  • Jewish Center of Novato Misheberach Form

Jewish tradition ordains that whenever the Torah is read we are granted a special
and uniquely opportune moment to invoke blessing for those in need of divine intervention.

From time immemorial it has therefore been the custom to recite a
"Mi Sheberach" (prayer for the sick) on behalf of people who are ill.

If you have friends or relatives who are in need of healing and would like to have their
names included in that special "Mi Sheberach" prayer please submit them below.

If there is someone in your life (yourself included) who is in need of a prayer for healing (or another form of Divine goodness)
and you would like us to include them when we pray by the Torah and Shabbat & Holidays, please reply to this email with their name(s).

If you happen to know their Jewish name and mother's name, that would be ideal.
If you only know their English name, that's fine too. (Hashem knows who they are.)

Please consider a donation together with adding names.
As the Mi sheberach text reads "pledged charity, without a vow, for his sake."

  • If you would like to add more names, please use the field below.
Please include the persons name and mothers name (please add hebrew as well if it's known)

  • In the merit of the prayers and charity, may our loved ones find true healing, as the prayer reads: "may the Holy One, blessed be He, be filled with mercy for him, to restore him to health and to cure him, to strengthen him and to invigorate him. And may He hasten to send him from heaven a complete recovery to his 248 bodily parts and 365 veins, among the other sick people of Israel, a healing of spirit and a healing of body; and let us say, Amen"
