Camp day 1 recap
Camp day 1 recap
We had the most amazing first day of Camp Gan Izzy! 🥇We started off with a smashing line up where we sang some Gan Izzy songs. 🎶 🙏Then we had davening (prayer circle) and learned about the times of Moshiach when the whole world will be at peace ✌️🕊with each other and the way we get to that time is by doing good deeds and acts of kindness. ❄️🥶We got to know each other better by doing some ice breaker games 💦We had a super awesome waterside ⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♀️ We played sports and decorated bunk signs and ended off the day swimming 🏊‍♂️in the amazing Khersonsky pool
Camp day 2 Recap
Camp day 2 Recap
We had the most incredible day 2 of Camp Gang Izzy! 😀 We kicked off the day with line up, davening 🙏 and learning about the Mitzvah of tzedaka 💸. Tzedaka means righteousness. Everything we have was given to us by Hashem and just like when we borrow something we have to give it back, Hashem wants us to give it back to Him in a very unique way. When we give to others who are less fortunate then us , we are doing what Hashem wants. We hopped on the bus 🚌 and went BOWLING!!🎳 The kids had an amazing time, and was really nice to see the comroderie 🤝and unity between the campers. When we came back to camp we had a insane bean hunt and used the beans we collected to buy crazy prizes 🏆in our C

Day 3 of Camp Gan Izzy was super fun! 🤩 Our awesome day started with lineup, davening 📖, and another lesson about the Mitzvah of Tzedaka. We elaborated by talking about how each part of our bodies 🦵👃can contribute to this amazing Mitzvah! Everyone had a turn to make cookies 🍪 with their Hebrew/Jewish names (which we frosted later) and then we all enjoyed a fantastic bubble show 🫧🫧! Next, we made our very own stickers and watercolor paintings 🖼. Last, but not least, there was a lot of laughter in the pool today, as the boys and girls excitedly got to push THE HEAD COUNSELOR in 🤪! This was followed by our terrific foam machine, where our beloved campers had a great time getting all so

Camp Day 4 Recap
Day 4: Another spectacular day of camp!✨✨ As usual, our day started strong with lineup, davening ✡️ and a lesson about the six days of creations and the beauty of Shabbat/Shabbos🕯. G-d set aside this day to connect🔗 with him, so when we keep shabbat, we are enhancing our relationship with Him. The activities began with an exciting game of Balloonarama, 🎈and then the campers split up into their chosen electives, where they enjoyed Mad Science 🧪 , and baking 🎂. After the girls did some perler beads👩‍🎨 and structure building🔨, and the boys finished up sports🏈, they headed to an amazing TALENT SHOW 🎭. Each camper got the opportunity to display their G-d-given talents and abilities to t

Camp Day 6
A terrific day 6 of camp, kicking off our fun-filled Week 2✌️ Lineup, Davening✡️ and a lesson about Mezuzot and how it displays our Jewish Pride started our beautiful day! The kids were occupied with spectacular activities such as Play Dough, Mad Science 🧪, and Lasor Maze building, followed by an incredible carnival 🎡!!! We had an absolute blast🥳. After lunch, the girls and boys had a party in the pool 🏊, and then enjoy our foam 🫧machine, finally ending the day with scrapbooking ✍️. What a fantastic way to start WEEK TWO of such a great camp.💗 We can't wait to see you all tomorrow 😊.
Camp Day 7
Camp Day 7
Day 7 (of Week 2) was definitely one of our favorites✨✨. The day started off with, you guessed it, lineup, outstanding Davening✡️, and a continued lesson on Mezuzot. Not only do Mezuzot show the world 🌎 our Jewish pride, but it also reminds us of our own. The kids started their busy day off by playing sports🏀, playing with playdough, and building🔨 a crazy Lazor Maze! I doubt anyone can get through it 😂. We finally got on the bus and began our fun day at the beach🏖️. The campers dug gigantic holes🕳️ and tunnels, buried counselors in the sand ⏳, and played in the freezing, yet refreshing, water 🌊. They had so much fun! Finally, the day ended off with delicious candy sushi 🍣 and scrapbo
Camp Day 8
Camp Day 8
The day started off as usual, with lineup, Davening✡️, and lesson about the importance of Tefillin. Activities began with Playdough, Jewelry making📿, and a few sport games🏀, followed by an amazing, and engaging drum circle🥁. We learned many drum positions, and made so much noise ☺️! Once the drum circle was finished, the campers had fun throwing water balloons🎈, shooting water guns🔫, and pouring water filled buckets🪣💦 on the counselors! The kids took turns swimming 🥽, and the girls had a blast washing the RABBI's car, while the boys built tops out of wood with Jonathan Khersonsky. Thank you for the help 😊! Today was such a packed and fun-filled day! Can't wait to have even more f
Camp Day 9
Camp Day 9
We had our usual Lineup, Davening ✡️, and a beautiful lesson on Ahavat Yisroel (loving everyone as you love yourself) and how the Chabad Rebbe loved 💖everyone no matter what. Before we could get in the camp buses🚍, the bunks went head to head in an egg🥚 drop competition. (Neither cracked!) Then we had a fantastic time at REBOUNDERZ where everyone jumped🦘 to the sky ☁️! They enjoyed trampolines, foam pits, an intense dodgeball game🤾‍♀️, a really hard ninja obstacle course and some delicious Kosher Lemonade 🍋! Back at camp, we played a fun game where partners worked together to find delicious candies🍬. We did so much today! We are excited to see you all tomorrow for more fun 😊!

Camp Day 11 4th of July Parade
AN AMAZING DAY!!!! Week 3 started off amazing 🤩. Week 3, Day 1 (Day 11 in total) started off strong with lineup, Davening, and a beautiful lesson on kosher! Just like a kosher fish 🐟, we should always look for the next opportunity to grow 🪴. Camp Gan Izzy is so fortunate because we got to be apart of a phenomenal PARADE 🛻🛻!!! The kids had a great time displaying their Jewish Pride✡️! We are Jewish AND American, and we are proud to be both 💞. After the parade, everyone enjoyed swimming 🥽, cake 🎂 ball making, and teapot 🫖 painting! Today was beyond beautiful and inspiring! We can't wait to see you all tomorrow for even more fun 😊!

Week 3, Day 2 (Day 12 in total) was incredible✨✨. We began with lineup, Davening✡️, and a lesson on the practical elements of kosher: kosher symbols, not mixing meat and milk🚫, etc. We took our newfound knowledge and applied it to an amazing Grocery Store 🏪Scavenger Hunt. The campers' challenge was to find kosher products for every letter of the Alphabet🔤! It was tough, but they worked hard to find all the items. We then enjoyed delicious popsicles from the store 🧊! After the hunt, we had an intense watermelon game; each bunk had to hide a watermelon🍉 for another bunk to find! We got to smash them and enjoy! The boys then got the opportunity to play football🏈 with the RABBI, followed
