SO SO Proud!! Our Hebrew School participated in a regional competition with 7 Hebrew Schools showcasing their hard work and knowledge of Torah & Mitzvot they have been studying! Our students David & Mason did incredible and were rewarded as champions!
This past Saturday night, we celebrated at Family Pajama Havdalah Party.
Each child got to braid their own havdalah candle, craft their own besamim (spice) kit, and decorate a havdalah card. We learned about the meaning of this closing ceremony for Shabbat, and enjoyed a havdalah-sing-along with Jonathan Khersonsky on his guitar. And of course, we ate yummy pizza and fries while listening to a story!
It was so much fun!! We're looking forward to doing this yearly.

We really shook it up today!! An amazing experience in the sukkah today! The kids loved it! Ask your children about the holiday, why we sit in the sukkah, what makes a kosher sukkah, there was a lot of learning! And Ofcourse a ton of fun, they built their own edible sukkah, player sukkah bingo!! And did the lulav shake! Enjoy the pics 😀
We definitely had our funnest day in Hebrew School yet! CHS Dad, Jonathan Khersonsky, prepared a super duper awesome and educational bee-keeper presentation, and we learned the Jewish connection to honey as well! Artistic talents were in full display as each child decorated their own Rosh Hashana themed canvas. We ended off with some awesome booths - make your own Rosh Hashana card, apple bobbing, shofar blowing, and pomegranate seed guessing game. We are definitely geared up and ready for a sweet New Year ahead!
